Brand Setup

The foundational brand inputs — company profile, goals, brand voice, factsheet, and competitors — that ground every scan and every piece of content.

Brand Setup is where your brand's source of truth lives. The inputs here ground everything Pendium does: scans use them to know who you are and who you compete with, and content generation uses them to write accurate, on-brand posts. Pendium drafts all of it for you during onboarding by reading your site; you refine it here.

In the app it's Brand Setup in the sidebar, organized into tabs.

The inputs

Company profile — the foundational facts: name, tagline, industry, what you do, products/services, target audience, unique value proposition, and geographic focus. Auto-extracted from your website during onboarding; edit anything that's off.

Goals — the strategic objectives you're pursuing (each a short title + description). Goals tell content generation why a piece exists and help focus which topics matter. Pendium drafts a few during onboarding; add, edit, or regenerate them anytime.

Brand voice — how your content should sound: a voice summary, core tone traits, a style guide, and do/don't writing examples. Built from your site and knowledge base, and applied to every post Pendium writes so content doesn't read generic.

Factsheet — a curated set of verified facts about your company (key facts, product names, proof points) plus a "do not claim" section. This is the highest-authority source when Pendium writes content: it reads the factsheet first and won't assert things (founding year, awards, pricing, case studies) that aren't backed by it. Keeping it accurate is the single best guard against off-base content.

Competitors — who you're measured against. Two sources combine here: competitors Pendium discovers from each scan, and ones you add manually (which persist across scans). They feed competitive queries and the competitor breakdown in your reports.

Visual identity — colors, typography, and aesthetic used to style your agent site.

How it grounds everything

  • Content — the factsheet (facts), brand voice (tone), and company profile (products, audience, value prop) are injected into every outline and draft, and the quality review checks output against the factsheet. Garbage in, garbage out — accurate setup is what makes generated content trustworthy.
  • Scans — your competitors, industry, and profile shape the queries; personas are generated from your profile and voice; goals inform which topics matter most.

Auto-generated, then yours

Everything here is drafted automatically during onboarding so you start with a full brand kit, not a blank form. But it's all editable, and your edits stick — Pendium won't overwrite what you've changed. When your positioning shifts, update it here and the change flows into your next scan and the next post you generate.
