Outreach
Turn the sources AI already cites in your category into earned mentions — classified outreach targets with drafted emails and Reddit comments.
When AI platforms answer questions in your category, they cite real pages — listicles, publications, Reddit threads. Outreach turns that citation list into action: it finds the sources worth contacting, sorts them by how to approach each, and drafts the outreach for you, so you can earn a mention on the pages AI already trusts.
In the app it's Outreach in the sidebar (under AI Visibility).
How it works
- Find targets. Pendium pulls the sources cited in your recent scans, filters out your own pages, competitor properties, and low-quality results, and classifies the rest (this runs in the background, ~a minute or two).
- Review the playbooks. Each target is sorted into one of four outreach types and given a priority and a suggested angle:
- Edit suggestions — "best of" posts and listicles that already cover your category; ask to be added.
- New post pitches — publications whose readers would care, but who don't have a relevant post yet.
- Guest posts — sites that accept contributions, where you control the framing.
- Reddit threads — discussions where a genuine, on-topic comment mentioning you fits.
- Draft it. Click draft on a target and Pendium writes the email (subject + body) or Reddit comment in your brand voice, grounded in your company profile and stripped of generic AI phrasing. It uses placeholders for your name and never invents the recipient's address.
- Send and track. Open the draft in your mail client (or open the Reddit thread and paste the comment), then track each target through pending → drafted → sent → dismissed.
It gets smarter as you use it
Leave a note on any draft ("shorter and more direct," "lead with the data") and Pendium regenerates it — and folds that guidance into your other drafts too, so your outreach voice stays consistent.
Outreach vs. cold email
These are different tools:
- Outreach (this feature) is citation outreach — winning mentions from publishers and communities that already cite your category, based on your scan's cited sources.
- The cold-email API is prospect outreach — generating intro pitches for a list of prospects you supply (e.g. for sales). Different input, different goal.
