Why this exists
Dan and Rob spent 15 years building Sharethrough together — a native ad exchange that grew to 200 people and created an entire category of advertising built around respect for content and audiences. Dan led the business side, working with enterprise marketing teams at P&G, Red Bull, and Microsoft. Rob was the founding engineer who built the platform and scaled the engineering team from zero.
After Sharethrough, they explored the fringes of emerging technology — always drawn to where the next platform shift was forming. When they saw how quickly AI was becoming the primary way people discover businesses, the pattern was unmistakable.
They'd watched it happen before with Google: businesses thrived on organic traffic until algorithm updates wiped them out overnight. An entire industry of SEO consultants emerged, most selling snake oil. Now it's happening again, but bigger. ChatGPT doesn't rank you #1 through #10 — it either recommends you or it doesn't.
