The slug that appears in your partner-branded URLs is now stored in a dedicated, indexed column rather than buried in an unstructured data blob. In practice this means lookups on branded URLs are a direct database hit instead of a full-table scan with string matching done in application code. The change also lays the groundwork for custom domain (CNAME) support, which requires indexed columns the old structure couldn't provide.
Branding settings — your logo, display name, and strategic plan — moved to the same typed table. If your account was created before this release, your existing slug was carried over automatically. Where two accounts happened to share an identical base slug, the older account keeps the clean version and newer ones receive a numeric suffix.
