The Yelp Study research tool got a significant expansion. It now covers 28 industries across 4,335 markets — up from 13 home-service categories to include 15 additional local-service verticals — with roughly 190,000 AI answers captured across five surfaces. The by-industry table defaults to sorting by Google AI Mode and lets you drill into per-city data with a click. A pitch button on each row opens a report and email menu for sharing findings with prospects.
Two reliability fixes worth knowing about. Agent-facing pages on your brand's site no longer include footer links to pages that don't exist for your account type — a profile-only brand was getting hints pointing to URLs that returned 404s. Those footer hints now pull from the same page list your brand nav uses.
Visibility Scan previews now correctly identify brands whose site has minimal metadata. When a homepage had only a bare brand name as its title and nothing else, the scan could match it to a same-named business in a different city. The scanner now reads the page body in that situation to confirm the actual location and offerings before building the report.
